A puzzle game mechanic, playable prototype
Popper is an abandoned prototype dating from around 2001. The game is a sort of mix of many games from Thrust to Puzzle Bobble.
It was meant to be a sort of bridge-builder in reverse.
The idea was to dismantle structures by shooting away bolts. You had to match the bolt's colour to that of the randomly coloured bullet.
Here's an early video of it in action. We definitely made more progress on the prototype than shown here, as we added a giant sun graphic, and a couple of other little things.
