Pickford Brothers News

All news or website updates for this year

15th May 2007 - Updated the Press clippings section

Added recent articles on Wetrix and Feud, and a page with our three appearances in early 2000ad comics, re-discovered when rooting through my collection of old progs.

30th November 2006 - Added the Zub Archive

An in depth article about the development of Zub and a look at the pixel graphics, as well as some hints about the future direction of this character.

4th June 2006 - Tarted up the Friends List page

* Made messages mandatory for anyone who wants to join the list (lets make the page an interesting read!). You can come back and add a message any time you like if you've already joined without one.

* Optional URLs can now be added after your name. You can come back and add, change or remove your URL anytime you like.

* Names are now links to Friends' forum profile pages, so you can send a Friend a PM, or view their posts.

* The Friends list can be filtered by donation type (show only people who've bought us a pint etc.).

26th May 2006 - Website open!

The Pickford Brothers website is open to the public, at last, to coincide with the start of the Naked War Beta Programme.

16th May 2006 - Added The Friends of the Pickford Brothers section

This seemed like a great idea last week - me (Ste) and John, sat in my kitchen on Friday night, drinking homebrew because I couldn't afford to go to the pub or even buy any cans. I was reminiscing about meeting someone in a club in Manchester who was astonished to discover that I'd made Wetrix. He'd played the game to death and wanted to buy me a pint to say 'thank you' (which I graciously accepted). John remembered someone who'd pirated Future Tactics contacting him on a forum, asking if he should send John the royalties we'd not had, seeing as he'd enjoyed the game so much.

Could we use the internet to harness these little pockets of good will dotted around the world, and maybe afford to go to the pub again on a Friday night? Its worth a try!

24th January 2006 - Website finished!

The Pickford Brothers website is finished at last, after one final pass over the softography - adding a few missing games (MSX and Atari conversions of our Mastertronic games) and all the credits I can remember. The website is not 'open to the public yet', so I guess this news entry is kinda redundant, but I've got to put something here to justfiy the existence of this page.
