Subject: Plok comic strip
Today we've launched the long awaited Volume 5 of the Plok comic paperback series.
We're really proud of this one. It's a great looking book. 60 pages, with a lovely new cover, and lots of exclusive new content inside as well as the 25 episodes of the webcomic that make up The Trial of Plok. There are 7 pages of updated, illustrated character biographies, a 'story so far' run down of the previous four volumes, a detailed 9 page 'behind the scenes' sketchbook section showing the pencils, and some explanatory notes about each episode in this volume, and a couple of other exclusive, original drawings in there as well.
It's a 7" x 10" trade paperback with a glossy cover. It fits neatly on your comic shelf, and goes perfectly with the other 4 Plok volumes already released, and the Bumper Colouring Book. It's the perfect Christmas gift!
It's been a two year wait since the Volume 4 book was released, so we apologise for the delay. We've been busy with various gamedev projects and learning new skills, and the comic had to take a back seat for a while as we earned some money. Regular readers will know that the webcomic itself has been on a hiatus for a year, for the same reason. Well, double good news today, as we're back on the webcomic as well, with a new short episode appearing in a few days, and work progressing on Volume 6, so more regular episodes should be appearing soon after.
We'd also like to remind you that we've got a Patreon to support the creation of the comic strip, which lots of you have contributed to already, and which we're grateful for. All current patrons are thanked in print in Volume 5. For just $1 an episode you get to see the layouts, pencils and inks for each new episode before its published, and get your name printed in each new book we publish while you're supporting us. The more support we get for the Patreon, the less chance there is of delays to future episodes.
Hope you like the book, and thanks for your continued support!
