I'm really excited to be able to talk about the fact that I'm illustrating a novel. The book is called Deg, and is the debut novel by Patrick Garratt.

Pat asked me last summer if I'd be interested in doing on some illustrations for a book he was working on. I was flattered to be asked, and agreed to give it a try. Since then his book has been picked up for publication by Urbane Publications, and should be out in the autumn of 2016 I think.

I'll be doing nine full page interior illustrations, which I'm still working on, but the cover was revealed by the publisher yesterday (based on one of the interior illustrations) so I can show you that now.

I've not illustrated a book before, so it's quite exciting and a little bit scary, but I'm pleased with what I've come up with so far.
