Subject: Plok comic strip

Last night we met the $100 target on the Plok comic strip Patreon, so this morning we've been able to remove all the google ads from the Plok comic website.

Thank you to all the patrons who've supported us so far - your help is very much appreciated!

You can still support the Patreon campaign, to keep us stocked up with Bristol Board, pencils and ink (and the odd pint), and help us reach the next target of a longer 'Sunday style' comic strip each month.

Congrats! For something completely different: Thank you for being sooo fast with the release of the printed Plok book. It's only five weeks til the second book could be done - can you prepare everything to release it as soon as possible? If you wonder what you can add as bonus material - some anecdotes about the development of Plok/Wetrix are really appreciated. Like, how did it happen that you start developing for a Nintendo console? What equipment did you get? What possibilities of debugging had you for the SNES (for me as a spare-time SNES programmer of sorts, that's interesting, because it took a while that I found some tools programmed in the last years that help me debugging, and doing it without them was an outright torture)? What features/levels/ideas didn't make it in the final games? Are there still some concept drawings from back then around?

I'm working on the cover for Volume 2 today, and thinking about what bonus features we can add to the book. Most of the concept art for the game is already on the Pickford Bros section of this website, although I think I've got a couple of level layouts that I haven't scanned in. There's probably some good stuff we can write about the development of the game, but I might save that for a future volume, once the comic is more established.

Boo, the Patreon has now dropped below $100, so we've added the google ads back, to help cover server hosting costs. Hopefully just a temporary measure if we can pick up a couple of new patrons soon.
