Subject: Magnetic Billiards: Seriously Casual
This is one of the dozens of illustrations I've done for the Magnetic Billiards in-game tutorial.
I've still got a few more to do yet, and I'll maybe need to change a few as well, once we go through the feedback from the alpha version and see what's working and what isn't.
Initial feedback suggests we've probably gone a bit too far with the first draft of the tutorial - going into a bit too much detail a bit too soon.
It's really hard to see your own game with fresh eyes, and see what it looks like to newcomers, which is where alpha testers come in really handy. Reading about other people's first impressions of your game is really helpful. One of the advantages of making indie games is being able to listen to such reactions, and fix the game, before release. Not something you get to do when making games for retail.
