Subject: Comics
I've been too busy with work this week to find any time to draw comics (well, I didn't have any ideas either), so here's a comic page I drew a few years back for my friend Paul, who's a great comic artist himself.
Paul was planning to write a series of strips about his experiences in the world of dating. I was keen to start drawing some comics again and offered to draw his scripts. I only managed two pages in the end, and I think he only wrote three or four.
I was really slow, and too busy with work to find the time, and he had the good fortune to date his future wife, ant which point writing comics about his dating adventures no longer seemed like such a great idea.
I'm not that happy with this page. I was really rusty at the time (I hadn't drawn on paper for years), and I was also trying to teach myself to ink with a brush. I've kind of give up with a brush for the time being. As you can see, I wasn't very good with it.
