Subject: Naked War PC
This is a follow on to yesterday's first sample render of the texture blending system for Naked War, from way back in 2004 (quite early on in the project's development).
This is the first screenshot John took of the game after adding the system to the engine. We were really pleased with it, as I remember, as it now made it really easy to mess around with different textures, as I didn't have to make hundreds of different 'join' textures any more.
Look in the top left corner - there's a little scanner there that we had in early on in development. We thought you'd need it to see where all the units where on the map, but it became unnecessary as we played the game more, and we replaced it with a compass instead.
And look at the frame rate!
