Subject: Naked War PC
This is a page from the Naked War Wii pitch doc we put together (discussed with yesterday's pic).
It's a little comic strip explaining how we envisaged Naked War working on the Wii, with the blue light letting a player know they had a new turn waiting, and the turn data being attached to the message, and automatically launching the game when opened.
We were really excited when the Wii was launched, towards the end of Naked War development. The machine almost seemed designed for our game.
The main thing that struck us was the blue light. It flashed whenever you got a new message, but there are very few reasons to send messages between Wiis.
Our game is built around sending messages, so we figured the Wii would be the perfect home for Naked War.
Every message is a lovely little chunk of gameplay. Getting a new turn in a game of Naked War always feels great. On the Wii the blue light would flash every time you got a new turn, and it kept checking for them even when you were offline.
It was almost like the blue light was designed for our game!
Sadly not to be though. I bet someone else does something similar and makes a fortune.
