Subject: Fleapit
This is a concept art drawing from our coin-op game Fleapit, showing an animation frame of the Flea baddie being hurt.
The fleas were great fun to draw and animate. Although they were just standard sprites (unlike Plok who was made up from separate rotating pieces), with pre-drawn animation frames, their quick jumpy movements meant that I could get away with just drawing a small number of extreme poses, and not bother with any inbetween frames, and they still looked good moving. There were probably only 5 or 6 frames in total for the fleas, for all their movements and actions, and they worked really well.
