Subject: World Darts
This is the rather uninspired loading screen / title screen for the coin-op version of World Darts (also released on Amiga and Atari ST).
It was a copy of the original ZX Spectrum loading screen I did a year or so previously, but now with the luxury of some extra colours. We also added a bit of movement and animation to this screen - the darts fired into place, and an announcer even popped onto the screen to shout "One hundred and eighty!" As I recall, the voice of the announcer was recorded in the studio, with one of the programmers there - Danny Whelan - providing the deep northern vocals.
