Find out more than you ever wanted to know about John Pickford and Ste Pickford!
John Pickford and Ste Pickford - The Pickford Brothers - are veteran video game designers and developers who switched to 'indie' game development and self-publishing in 2004.
We used to work on high profile console games for people like Rare, Nintendo and Sony, but we swapped the large teams, big budgets, expensive licenses and crazy overtime of mainstream game development for cosy home offices, low budgets, creative freedom and seeing our families now and again.
We also waved goodbye to a regular income, but we just wanted to make good games and and this seemed like the best way to go about it!
Our website is used showcase some of our new game ideas, keep you up to date with what we're working on, and to document and preserve our past work where possible.

I got myself a PS3 a few months back, mainly to check out some of the downloadable games available on PSN (which seem to be a lot more interesting than what's available on Xbox Live Arcade). I've enjoyed PixelJunk Shooter, but the PS3 mostly refuses to co...

Here's a strange thing I found on an old backup disk - a half finished version of the Amaurote loading screen, but drawn on an Amiga / Atari ST 16 colour screen.
