Soldiers cannot be attacked by line-of-sight weapons when stood in forests
When soldiers are stood within forest areas they cannot be targetted by enemy soldiers outside the forest with line-of-sight weapons (ie. hand guns). The trees block the view of attacking soldiers, protecting the soldier inside the forest, who remains able to shoot opponents outside the forest.
Unfortunately trees offer no protection from above, so soldiers in vehicles are still able to target enemies hidden within forests using projectile weapons, or firing from aircraft.
