Subject: Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint
Yesterday I posted three logos that I drew for Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint, the iOS game we're working on.
They represented about an afternoon's work, and as it happened my work notes for these logos all fitted neatly onto a double page spread in my notebook. I thought it might be fun to show you my 'working', in the form of these scribbly, scruffy ink sketches.
I've recently switched to using an x-large soft cover squared Moleskine for my work notebook, which is great for video game graphics as I can work out the sizes of textures and bitmaps using the grid.
After roughing the ideas out on the left hand page, I drew the three logos on the right hand page, in pen (I always prefer sketching in pen for some reason), at the final dimensions, then stuck a sheet of layout paper over the top and traced the finished logos neatly in pencil. The pencils drawings were then scanned in to make the finished graphics from, and finally spray-mounted into my notebook.
